Yup, you read that right.
I was fortunate enough to be invited to a Christmas traveller potluck here in queenstown New Zealand. There was 50-80people wandering through and making themselves at home in this house for Christmas.
Christmas felt like a joke that everybody was in on in this green land. No decorations, no music. Just a very welcoming group knowing what it’s like to be alone on Xmas abroad. Wholesome, right??!
I got caught up (somehow) having deep conversations about free will and how much we we are really in control of our life and make some good connections. Meanwhile, 10-15people are throwing around little baggies of coke and MDMA in the living room .. MID-DAY on Christmas. They were respectful enough to their space. But it made me realize how utterly unshocked I am by how bizarre life and new environments can be now.
So this takes the cake as my weirdest Christmas to date. Do you guys have weirdest-Xmas stories?😅
