⚔️ WEEK 2 CHALLENGE: THE MOVEMENT MIX
October 12–18 Last week, we tackled 300 pull-ups. This week, we’re switching things up. Your challenge: Accumulate intentional movement throughout the week AND try at least 1 activity you don’t normally do. 🎯 PICK YOUR LEVEL 🟢 BASE: 150 minutes ⚪ STANDARD: 300 minutes 🔴 BEAST: 450 minutes 💪 WHAT COUNTS? Walking, running, lifting, cycling, swimming, hiking, yoga, Pilates, mobility, sports, or any other intentional movement. YES, your regular workouts count! 🔀 HERE’S THE TWIST Try at least 1 activity outside your normal routine. 🏋️ Always lift? Try yoga or swimming. 🏃 Always run? Try strength training. 🚶 Always walk? Try cycling or Pilates. 💪 Do everything? Pick something you’ve neglected. Even 10 minutes of something different counts. 📋 THE RULES ✅ Pick your level. Adjust if needed. ✅ Accumulate minutes over 7 days. No daily minimum. ✅ Mix activities. Your normal workouts count. ✅ Try at least 1 activity you don’t normally do. ✅ Modify as needed. Walking, seated exercise, and low-impact options all count. ✅ Recovery matters. Don’t push through pain or add unnecessary training. ✅ Track your minutes honestly. A missed target doesn’t erase your effort. No equipment or special app required. Just track your minutes on your phone, watch, or a piece of paper. Report your progress in your regular Friday check-in and share your final total here after the weekend. The challenge is optional and doesn’t affect Active 300 status. 👇 YOUR TURN! Drop 2 things in the comments: 1️⃣ BASE, STANDARD, or BEAST? 2️⃣ What’s the NEW activity you’re trying? Get moving. Try something different. Have some fun with it. LET’S GO, PROJECT 300! ⚔️💪
Wk2 workout 2
Did yesterday’s workout today since I was out of town. BB overhead presses are a little challenging for me due to weak left shoulder but hopefully I’ll improve and be able to add more weight over the next 2 weeks. Tried adding another 10lbs today but left it at 5lbs more for a more gradual increase and not to push the shoulder too much. Did 20 minutes of mobility work after, which I believe has been helping with the squats because they were better today even with the lighter weight and pause. Stationary bike ride tomorrow morning and then a neighborhood 3 mile walk with the hubby in the late afternoon. Looking forward to deadlifts on Saturday 💪🏼

RECOVERY TOOL SPOTLIGHT: CUPPING THERAPY
Recovery is just as important as putting in the work! One tool I use to help with muscle recovery and tension is cupping. I use two different types depending on what I need and where I’m at. 👇 NOTE: The links below point to the devices I use; I receive no benefit from sharing them. Hope this helps with your active recovery journey! 🔴 1. Full Cupping Set — At-Home Recovery Great for having multiple cups available to target different muscle groups and areas of the body. This is my go-to option when I have time for a more focused recovery session. ⚫ 2. Therabody TheraCup — On-the-Go Recovery A convenient, portable option when I want something quick and easy to use. It combines cupping with heat and vibration, making it a great option to keep in your recovery toolkit. 🔥 Potential Benefits of Cupping: ✅ May help temporarily reduce muscle soreness and tension ✅ May provide short-term relief from certain types of pain ✅ Can help you feel more relaxed and loosen up tight areas ✅ May temporarily improve local blood flow to the treated area ✅ Can be a useful addition to your overall recovery routine Whether you’re hitting the gym, running miles, training for a Spartan race, or just dealing with everyday muscle tightness, recovery deserves a spot in your routine! 👇 Here are the two options: 🔗 Full Cupping Set: https://a.co/d/0f5Oaxkf 🔗 Portable Therabody TheraCup: https://www.therabody.com/products/theracup?variant=44183233134819 Pick the option that fits your lifestyle and recovery needs! ⚠️ Cupping can cause temporary circular marks, bruising, or skin irritation. Evidence for many claimed benefits is limited, so it’s best viewed as a complementary recovery tool rather than a replacement for proper training, sleep, and nutrition.
