MONDAY CHALLENGE
Movement time
I did my short run/walk followed by my one movement and I chose the rowing machine at the gym. One my long run/walk day I ended up doing the run portion of the Marine PFT on the treadmill. I think I did decent for time on that test. 8 minutes of my time is the warm and cool down they have built into the workout on the machine. I did another 90 minutes today with my buddy and wife at the gym for the my strength training day. So into total I ended up with 254 minutes. So I crushed my goal of basic and was only 46 minutes off the Standard.

Week 2 Challenge Kinda Obliterated 💥
So quick math told me I would get around 400 minutes in a normal week. If I add extra stuff I don’t normally do 🔴 beast goal of 450 was feasible. Fast forward - 686 minutes of exercise this week 😂 I spent a lot of time at the gym Saturday so that was most of this overachieving but it was good to get used to being on my feet longer since I have 5 back to back race weekends coming at me! Like any good accountant would I tracked my workouts in a spreadsheet (see below) but I did 200 minutes of stuff I don’t normally do - yoga (that was a comedy), walks, dance fitness, and spin class). I also spent 486 minutes on my normal workouts. Today’s Orangetheory treadmill template was a 23 min endurance run - I actually groaned at Reddit after yesterday’s treadmill torture 😂 But I am happy to say that I did well in that block and even ran faster at the end. Such a distant memory when I could only hold a run for 3 min or so a year ago 🙌 Today’s workout fun: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DepFBcYJ_rc/?mdxt=OGs4Y3Fzc3p6MTFv

Week 2 Friday Check in
I was able to hit my weekly challenge goal and then some(254/150). Did drink some water with dinner yesterday but did follow that up with my liquid courage. I did really good with my promises, did add sugar on Thursday, needed a pick me up after a rough Wednesday. I was never able to find time for myself. Even though my wife says my nap after work the other day counts. Will be interesting week with the Burpee Challenge and my Spartan race in VA on Saturday. I will get it done, won’t be pretty, not the best with burpees. So I will take what I can get for my total, just gives me something to try and get better with.
