Let’s get real. If you’re here, you or someone you love has been through addiction’s wringer. And you know what’s worse than the withdrawals, broken relationships, or those hard “wake up on the bathroom floor” moments? Shame. It feels like gasoline on your soul. Fuck the shame. Seriously. You don’t need that holding you back.
I’m not sugarcoating it—I’m an addict. I’ve done things I regret. But I’m still human, still worthy of happiness, love, and leaving things better than I found them. You can’t change your past, but you can change your now. It’s the next decision that matters. Take a step toward the light—even if it’s tiny.
Screwed up? So has everyone. Admitting it and moving forward is what counts. Recovery isn’t about being perfect. Show up, do the work, take baby steps. There’ll be setbacks, but screw “easier.” You deserve good things—a safe place, love, real rest.
So let’s leave the shame behind. We’re not just addicts. We’re survivors. We’re not sorry for it.
