Honest feedback on shop positioning and structure
Hi everyone,
I would really appreciate some honest and constructive feedback on my shop:
When I started, I experimented a lot and made typical beginner mistakes. Too many different styles, no clear focus, and creative experiments without structure.
Over the past weeks I have intentionally refined my direction.
My main focus is now clearly a calm bathroom decor niche centered around Wabi Sabi, Zen, Spa, Yoga, neutral botanical themes and inner calm.
The goal is to build a cohesive and recognizable brand with a clear atmosphere.
In addition, I currently have two categories that consistently show good views, although sales have not happened yet.
Animals in Human Scenes
These are anthropomorphic animal motifs such as firefighter dog, construction raccoon, or gym series designs. They generate noticeable traffic, so I plan to continue developing them and gradually convert them into higher quality POD posters.
Fish
These designs also show steady visibility. Despite no sales so far, I am considering continuing to test them since they are clearly receiving impressions and interest.
The older fantasy listings such as dragons and knights are still online for now. I am planning to move them into a separate archive style section in order to keep the main direction clean.
Another project I am currently building is a 15 piece guest bathroom series in a Victorian sepia style inspired by Dark Academia and Art Nouveau.
The artworks are designed like 19th century royal announcements with ornamental frames, golden serif typography and warm candlelight tones.
Conceptually, the bathroom is subtly exaggerated as a throne room, private library or royal audience chamber. The humor is intentional but dry and understated, not meme based.
The idea is refined funny bathroom art with a museum like aesthetic.
At the moment, I am restructuring my shop categories more clearly:
Zen Bathroom Wall Art
Calm Nature Landscapes
Animals in Human Scenes
Fish
Victorian Guest Bathroom Series
I’m aware the shop still contains multiple directions. My current challenge is deciding how aggressively to narrow it down.
I would love feedback on:
Does the shop feel more clearly positioned now?
Is the main niche recognizable?
Are the side directions too broad or sufficiently separated?Would you continue testing categories that generate views but no sales yet?
I truly appreciate honest feedback, even critical thoughts.
