Hi everyone, you may not know this about me but i’ve been a practicing Buddhist for about 17 years now in the Tibetan tradition. In this tradition the number 108 is very auspicious- thats why there are 108 beads on every full size mala! 😊 So, now that we have reached 108 members in this community I’d like to post this small celebration. This is an exercise called "body map" that we'll do in the upcoming workshop "Drawing and Painting Meditations: Expressive Mark-Making for Creative Presence." In the video I star with a basic outline of a head and shoulders, then I choose colors based on how I'm feeling in that area of my body. The red at the top of the head is for a slight headache I was feeling. At the end are two more body maps I made with charcoal. Its a fun exercise and sparks a new way of working! 4 Sundays at 3:30-5:30 MST, May 17-June 7. Great for beginners who want to experiment with different media.
