Auspicious numbers!
Hi everyone, you may not know this about me but i’ve been a practicing Buddhist for about 17 years now in the Tibetan tradition. In this tradition the number 108 is very auspicious- thats why there are 108 beads on every full size mala! 😊 So, now that we have reached 108 members in this community I’d like to post this small celebration. May you all have happiness and the causes of happiness. 🥰🙏 Enjoy these pics of my flowering cactus from a few days ago, and feel free to post your own pics of the beauty around you down in the comments! Whatever we focus our attention on grows in our life. ❤️

Body Map Exercise
This is an exercise called "body map" that we'll do in the upcoming workshop "Drawing and Painting Meditations: Expressive Mark-Making for Creative Presence." In the video I star with a basic outline of a head and shoulders, then I choose colors based on how I'm feeling in that area of my body. The red at the top of the head is for a slight headache I was feeling. At the end are two more body maps I made with charcoal. Its a fun exercise and sparks a new way of working! 4 Sundays at 3:30-5:30 MST, May 17-June 7. Great for beginners who want to experiment with different media. Open to any media: pencils, markers, crayons, watercolor, acrylic paint, charcoal, etc... There are a few spaces open in this workshop, and still time to register!! Sign up today and I'll send you an overview of the workshop: https://expressivemarks.carrd.co/

Rice bag in progress
Hi, I’m Wanda van der Bijl. I am trying my hand at slow stitching projects this year. Here is my WIP sashiko rice bag which must be finished by 20 Nov! Its an 18th birthday gift bag for a young man moving to Japan to study next year. So although they might not use these so much for carrying rice any more, I hope this will be a reminder that we support and love his new adventure!

My success
You're welcome, I'm 39 years old with 3 kids, happily married and living with my husband in California. I have 2 girls and 1 boy they are truly my whole world! Life is busy but so full of love and I feel so blessed every day. I've been working my 9 to 5 for the past 7 years now, but honestly things really started to shift for me when I discovered making money online. It has been such a game changer giving me more freedom and flexibility for my family. I feel like a whole new chapter has opened up for me! I'd love to know more about you too what do you do and what does a typical day look like for you?
