🎬 Post 3 – “An audience isn’t a business—until you do this.”
I had a half dozen hooks in mind for this, but I went for the most embarrassing one:
"I built a facebook group of 5K… and still couldn’t pay rent."
My goal was to begin moving from emotional pain to revelation, the "I was crushing it but it wasn't paying the bills".
Don't get me wrong, at this point I was living ok, but I relied on client work for my income, but... 5k people in my fb group, that's nuts to not be monetising.
I was doing everything right… except turning attention into action, and that bothered me.
We’ve all heard “just provide value.” But I was providing value with no transformational destination. No CTA. No funnel. And worse… no cash flow.
This video shares that internal breaking point.
Here’s the exact script breakdown:
1- Goal: Create tension between ‘growth’ and ‘conversion’
2-Hook: “The #1 reason creators post daily and still don’t profit.”
3- Context/Story: It’s not consistency that makes you money—it’s intention.
4- System Insight: Every post needs a job: grow your list, build demand, or sell. If not, it’s noise.
5- Anchor: Follow so you don’t miss the next one in the series.
Each sentence was thought of to walk them from “I feel seen” to “Wait… maybe this is what I’m missing.”
The metrics in three days? nuts:
- 8 new followers (our biggest jump yet)
- 11.8s avg watch time
- 9.4% full video rate
- Primary age group: 25–34 (41%)
- Primary geo: Mexico (43.9%), followed by U.S. and Canada
THIS is big, because I'm geolocked in Mexico by tiktok, this is the first video I have posted (ever on tiktok) that gets less than 85% Mexico/Latin America
This one stuttered at first, I posted it and got 30 views the first six hours, but I woke up yesterday morning to almost 400 views.
I can speculate why, it could be because it opened with a line that could make creators think "Wait, I have 5k, why does HE think that should make money? It's an inner frustration most creators don’t admit publicly.
I got my first critical comment, which is relevant to the next post, but she said "5,000 is nothing" and later said "obviously 5k isnt enough of an audience to make money".
That’s not hate. That’s engagement.
That’s exactly what this series is built to unlock.
Ding ding, our first legit engaged commenter. Noice.
What I learned, and you should too, is that I axed the longer story, and skipped from "this was my situation" (hook) to "This is what it means for you". I suspect this caused a big curiosity gap. It also let me drop the video to nearly 30 seconds. I will make them shorter going forward now.
Let me know if you’re watching these unfold—or better yet, post your own version of a Day 3.
We all hit that invisible wall eventually. Let’s help people see it faster.
