Not automatically. The assumption is simple: cross a border into a country with a lower cost of living, spend less money. The variable is not the country -> it's the lifestyle you intend to keep. If you move abroad and rebuild the same life in a new location, the savings are going to be minimal. Some things will cost you more than they did at home. Some categories will surprise you.
