Assignment #10: A bit of elegance
I was waiting for almost three hours to select a subject for this assignment, holding my Nikon D200 on my neck (around 1kg of weight). I was surrendering. I thought I needed some rest and went towards a book store just to feel better...then this lady came across my way... One shot...almost from the hip. I couldn't take more photos cause that could expose me and didn't want to seem "rude" in front of her elegance.
I entered the book store praying to have caught it well...and saw then the photo...and the result is what it is.
The settings were the same for all the period. I wanted a subject for a slow shutter...a spirit, not a face, a movement, not a freezed time.
Settings:
Shutter: 1/20
Aperture: f/22
Focal length : 35mm.
ISO: 100
Ingredients :)
  • Slight hand movement aligned with the movement of the subject.
  • A pinch of grain
At the end I rewarded myself with a new book:
Before the coffee gets cold - Toshikazu Kawaguchi.
Thank you for reading till the end!
