Old: https://youtube.com/shorts/dy2rtX2MtDc?si=WK8Olj9WwC7x9PDE New: (didnt get pushed out due to reupload) https://youtube.com/shorts/Yt-z2cWfpnI?si=kRQCWkmU_OBLyLfu I’ve been making shorts and only 6/100 but im trying to understand why the swipe rate is high on this. It also has a bigger dislike ratio compared to my other vids. Then I also have other vids which perform better when I don’t put any effort in. As far as I know, hook (first 3 seconds) then retention matters (keeping people curious for the next 3-5 seconds) but I feel like im missing something. Hopefully someone can provide feedback or I’ll have to wait until I experience more to see why. Edit: it definitely lacks an emotional payoff in the end. I also tried swiping away after the first intro clip and can see why people would swipe. I think if I get rid of the singing, it might have a better swipe rate. Then have it be closer to the part where he yells so people are more emotionally invested even though the vid is shorter. Good to note for future edits. Sucks that it ruins the joke though because it’s missing the context but it definitely does feel like the song carries the front end of the vid.
