From Cheb 🇨🇿 to Mindanao 🇵🇭 – This is PH Farm Quest
Hey everyone,
My name is Ali. I run a small döner kebab shop in Cheb, Czech Republic.
Like many of you, I don’t come from farming. I come from working long hours, saving slowly, and dreaming about a simpler, land-based life in the Philippines.
My wife (28) is from Mindanao. Right now she’s in the Philippines, and we’re in the middle of the family reunification process so she can join me here in Cheb. While waiting, I decided to start small and start real.
This community is not about “experts” or fake success stories.
It’s about:
  • testing small-scale farming ideas in Europe
  • learning what actually works (and what fails)
  • and preparing for a future farm in Mindanao step by step
What I’ll share here:
  • beginner-level pilot projects (aquaponics, chickens, mushrooms)
  • real costs, mistakes, numbers
  • Europe → Philippines transition lessons
  • Mindanao-focused connections (Davao / Tagum area)
First real challenge:
This spring, I’ll build a small aquaponics system and document everything.
👉 If you’re here, tell us:
  • Where are you now?
  • And what kind of farm life are you dreaming about?
Let’s learn this together.
