A look into the process
As I put together my pet portrait course, I wanted to share a peek into my painting process. Here is a painting that I finished up after leaving if for some weeks. The original reference photo had such an interesting and unique lighting, with the warm sunset creating a rim lighting effect while the bluish violet sky illuminated the front of the dog.
I probably could have pushed the bluish violet more in the white fur, but chose to keep a more natural look and I'm happy with how it turned out!
