Goodmorning. I hope the night treated you well and the day is looking good so far. What are your goals for today? How have you planned to accomplish them? There is a process to all things and achieving goals are no different. I have experienced overwhelming anxiety thinking about what I want to do and how I'm going to do it. To the point that I end up doing nothing at all. Building this class is an example of that. I have, however, came up with a thought process that helps me understand the simplicity of goal planning. A lightbulb goes out and and needs to be changed. Obviously jumping into the air to change it isn't going to work. So you need to gather tools and supplies. You need a new light bulb, a ladder, and maybe and screwdriver or pliers to take the cover off. Now you set up the ladder, and this is where the work is, you have to climb it one step at a time. Now you've reached the top and change the bulb, the goal is accomplished. Right? Nope, now you have to climb down the ladder, put everything away, and continue to monitor. What this teaches me is that large goals should be broken down into smaller goals to make it attainable and less overwhelming. It also shows me that just because you have reached your end state doesn't mean you can sit back and call it good, you have to continue the process. As we get into lessons I'd like you to keep this in mind. What are your goals? Your dreams? What process are you using to get there? Let's have a conversation.
