I am back and renewed for any and all things. I took the last week off to meet with my team to kickstart a retreat for veterans. It was amazing and a learning experience for all. We covered design, soil, cleared up a brush pile and made biochar. Took a day to go up in the mountains to scout around and see some lessons found in nature. Did you know that Bend Oregon boarders two distict climate zones? More will follow from this trip as the weeks go on. I am playing catch up at home since the weather is decent but we will get into the carbon cycle this next week.

Spent some time this weekend cleaning up unused things and using that space to expand the kitchen garden. In this video I'm explaining how to use branches that are still attached to the bamboo stalks for added structural support. Check out the Old Earth Farms YouTube channel to follow the build.

Any suggestions? I am looking forward to learning as much as I can so when I do have my property I am not clueless.
