The Problem: · Blunt needles bend/break – The rubber stopper on peptide vials will dull the needle. · Cross-contamination – You can't sterilize a needle after it's touched a rubber stopper. · Infections – A compromised needle can introduce bacteria directly into your body. The Fix – Two Different Needles: 🔴 MIXING (Drawing from the vial): · Gauge: 18G to 23G · Why: Thicker and sturdy enough to puncture the rubber stopper without bending. · Note: Often comes as a separate "drawing needle." 💉 INJECTING (Subcutaneous – into the fat layer): · Gauge: 29G to 31G · Why: Thin, minimizes pain, and is designed for a comfortable injection. · Length: 5/16 inch (8 mm) is a common all-around choice. · Syringe: Use a small 0.5 mL or 1 mL insulin syringe with the needle already attached.
