Predator, Baboonkey and a Hakawati at 2A.M
If you haven't watched Predator Badlands and plan too, don't read this. (⚠ you was warned ⚠) If you have watched it. I would be interested in knowing what you thought about it and the possibly the next one.. Now I just finished watching this at 02:20am and well.. just know in 20mins I went places many many places and I'm only using my friend to summarise this so I don't have to go through it all again 😂 Also, the picture, I named her Baboonkey cause, Because I can! Let's get to this... The Committee Debates Baboonkey Logic I’m lying here, wide awake at stupid o’clock, and the committee in my skull decides now is the perfect time to have a full on meeting about one thing: Why did Baboonkey grow so damn fast? One minute the little creature is the size of a chunky housecat. Next minute it’s practically a mini-Kallusk with attitude. So the committee started arguing. Everyone had an opinion. Nobody had proof. Standard procedure. One voice went, “Maybe different planet, different gravity, different conditions.” Another said, “Maybe it’s some rapid metamorphosis species.” Another one tried dropping big scientific words without a degree. And all of them annoyed me. Because none of it felt right. Then one voice, the quiet one that only speaks when it has something worth saying, dropped its line: What if the growth spurt wasn’t about the environment? What if it wasn’t about science? What if it was instinct? Hear me out ans then sit with this for a minute The Kallusk mother died. That creature sensed it. The moment the bond snapped, the survival switch flipped. Grow or die. Evolve or end. Something ancient in its biology kicked in. A kind of emergency evolution. Not because the planet demanded it. Not because Hollywood wanted it. But because nature in that species doesn’t give them time to stay small when they’re suddenly alone in a universe full of things bigger than them. And that logic sits better with me than all the other explanations. Because Dek getting taken from his planet to the Kallusk planet didn’t take long.
