WWI -WWII intermission (Business as Usual)?
Did the USA happily do business with Germany after WWI ended (November 11.1918) until the Start of WWIi (September 1, 1939)? Hyperinflation in Germany, which the U.S. bailed Germany out of in 1924, designed Hindenburg’s government.
Proof: all countries participated in the 1936 Berlin Summer Olympics. Also, the Hindenburg disaster in Lakehurst, NJ was a 3-day airship trip, which American Airlines would participate in the blimp Airships from Frankfort, Germany to the United States.
I would argue “Yes”. The U.S.A. , France, and Great Britain all wanted “War Reparations” for WWI expenses, with France on Germany’s ground to collect in the 1920’s., infuriating regular Germans
We are put total blame for WWI on Germany in the Treaty of Versailles.
President Wildon proposed a League of Nations that the USA NEVER joined!
Hitler wasn’t “evil” enough for the USA to not have business as usual? Just saying. What do you think?
