UN useful (Yes or No)?
Do you like I have a negative opinion on the United Nations or is it a convenient diplomatic meeting place?
I suppose its international food programs and humiliation programs are very useful. However…
The Blue helmets idea that the UN pretends is security is a farce. Individual countries are sovereign and decide troop commitments!
It’s annoying to hear despots and enemies come to the UN , like Khrushchev in 1960 saying “We will bury you”.
George H.W. Bush (1990) in the 1st Iraq War put together a huge coalition of Nations to push Saddam Hussein successfully out of Kuwait (1991). Perhaps the high point of the UN.
The United Nations was formed after WWII, in New York City, with a Secirity Council and Genarel Assembly of all nations, with diplomats receiving immunity while there.
Should the UN at least be moved out of the U.S.?.
