The Truth (Does it Set You Free)?
We tell our children to tell the TRUTH, the 10 Commandments says “Shall not lie”. The 1st Amendment to the Constitution protects FREEDOM OF SPEECH. Especially, unpopular speech, not just against THE GOVERNMENT!
What value do you put on “The Truth”? Should it be a defense, against other people’s reputations?
Telling the Truth is not only moral, it’s a defense in Court. You can not be held liable (made to pay money), for slander (speaking) or writing if what you say is true.
“Tell the Truth, or at least don’t lie” !
Billy Joel even had a song called “Honesty”
