From Sea to Shining Sea (President Polk Right)?
James K. Polk RAN FOR OFFICE saying the USA would expand to the Pacific Ocean in 1844 and did it in one term. Was he RIGHT to pick a fight with Mexico to do it, then get all of Oregon territory up to the 49th parallel in a deal with England?
Manifest destiny, the expansion of America, to control our hemisphere was promoted by former President Andrew Jackson who agreed with Polk.
