My first value study

Hello everyone 🙂

I recently joined Sam’s art school and just finished the autumn lesson — I’m really excited about it! This is my first piece using the value-based approach, and I’ll share the full finished work once it’s complete.

I finally finished this piece! It was definitely a challenging one for my first oil-painting experience, especially the trees. 😅

Looking back, I probably should have started with something easier.

I also don’t know why my colours didn’t turn out like Sam’s — I think I still struggle with colour mixing even though I followed the course carefully!
