How to land a Contract!!!
Okay so I’ve been asked this a couple of times. How I landed my contract and what are the things I did. It’s much easier than you think.
So I’ve determined that this is broken up into three parts. (Posting, Outreach, Consistency)
🎥 POSTING YOURSELF
— You have to post yourself. That’s the fist step, post everything. Your highlights, your clips, your training sessions, your workouts. Everything. Put yourself out there. Let people know what you’re trying to do. Most of the time you don’t get any backlash, you just don’t get any support. But who cares. They don’t see your vision
📧 OUTREACH
— This is the first step into building your network. You have to email, call, text, email, dm, etc… I would email probably thousands of coaches, agencies and teams. I’d also just show up to their training sessions. I’ve shown up to 3 USL 1 training sessions and just asked to join. You’d be surprised when they say yes. Same with colleges. There’s no harm in asking and just showing up. Don’t be afraid of telling everyone.
❗️❗️CONSISTENCY
— This is arguably the MOST important step. You have to do the other two and do it all the time. It doesn’t matter how good you are, if nobody knows WHO you are. Most players will do the first two for a few months and then give up when there’s no results. It took me 2 and a half years of consistency to achieve my contract. Consistency in all aspects, my posting, my filming, my emailing, my training, everything. If you can’t be consistent you’ll never have a chance
⏰ ONE LAST THING
— Yes the steps are very simple, but don’t confuse simple with easy. This will take a lot from you, you will have to sacrifice a lot. It’s going to be hard and you’re going to want to quit. It’s very important that you keep pushing and keep being consistent. One day at a time. The one day, it’ll all pay off. You’re just one phone call away, one video away from changing your life and signing a contract.
