Pet Therapy in Nursing Homes
Just curious on this lovely quiet Sunday (well it is for me, hope it is for you as well), has anyone ever worked in a nursing home, or perhaps a community center where pets were allowed in? Were any of the residents allowed pets or did your center allow in visiting service animals. I know that there seems to be a positive influence on many of the people who live there but if course my focus right now is in the nursing staff
Our problems with staff shortages are not going to be as fast a fix as we would all like but a little stress relief during a shift is always welcome
Any ideas? Any feed back on this idea. I mean if it works for the residents then why not the staff
