Snacking
I generally don't like snacking because I'm normally trying to lose fat or maintain my current weight. But, what do you do when your stomach is grumbling and you're feeling like you could take a bite of your own arm because you're so hungry? If you eat enough calories, and the right macros, with enough volume foods like Levi recommends, this probably won't be a problem. But, my past diets didn't work out because I didn't plan those things very well and didn't eat the right combinations of food. Sometimes when I feel ravenous between meals, I drink some water first, to make sure it's hunger and not thirst. Then, I try to get busy and get my mind off my hunger. If that still doesn't work. I might grab a bowl of Greek yogurt and berries. Sometimes I keep a 4 oz piece of smoked salmon in my refrigerator. I also keep sardines and canned herring around. Sometimes I also have beef jerky or biltong. I've also thought about maybe trying hummus on celery. I try to aim for low fat, low calories, and high protein. What do some of you snack on when you're trying to lose weight or maintain your weight?
