Travel plans for first few months in 2026
Anyone traveling early 2026? If so, where? I will start; going to fly to Florida with a couple of friends, we are renting a car and driving through and stopping at the Florida Keys. I have been to Florida before but not the Keys, excited! In February, taking a short driving trip to Monterrey, Mexico with family. May, I have a Western Caribbean cruise in May. Anyone want to join me?
Ladies & Solo Travelers:
🌟Let’s Talk Dubai (Value-first share from a fellow community member) Hey everyone! I wanted to share something fun for all the ladies (and solo women especially) who’ve been asking about safe, exciting international destinations for 2026 travel. 💛 Why Dubai Is Trending for 55+ Solo Women If you’ve never considered Dubai, here are a few reasons women travelers are loving it right now: ✨ Extremely safe for solo female travelers ✨ Modern, clean, easy to navigate ✨ Tons of culture without feeling overwhelming ✨ Great mix of relaxation + adventure ✨ Perfect spring weather in April ✨ Fantastic for first-time travelers outside the U.S. Plus — Dubai is one of the few destinations where luxury doesn’t have to mean luxury pricing. 👠 Ladies-Only Trip (April 2026) I’m hosting a women’s group trip to Dubai in April and wanted to share the idea here since it fits perfectly for our 55+ solo traveler community. 👉 No pressure at all, but if anyone wants more details, I’m happy to share them privately in DM. This trip is ideal for women who want: 💫 A safe and welcoming group 💫 A mix of culture + comfort 💫 A guided intro to Dubai without feeling rushed 💫 The confidence of not traveling alone 🌍 Quick Question for You No sales pitch — just curious: If you could pick ONE dream experience in Dubai, which would it be? A) Desert safari B) Burj Khalifa views C) Old Dubai markets D) Yacht sunset cruise E) Michelin-level food
🎷 New Orleans Wins — So We’re Building It
A few days ago I asked where you’d most want to go next…and New Orleans was the clear winner. Not even close. 😉 So here’s what’s happening: We’re officially building a small, hosted group trip to New Orleans for late May. Not a rushed tour. Not a giant bus group. Think: music, food, culture, and time to actually enjoy the city — with people who want connection and comfort. What we’re aiming for: - Late May (great weather, great energy, fewer crowds) - Small, curated group (intentionally limited) - Designed with a 40+ crowd in mind - Hosted experience — not “figure it out on your own” 👉 This trip will live inside the new 2.0 version of this community (One Step Away Collective), and everyone here is invited to join when it opens/No action needed yet .. details, dates, and links are coming soon. Want first access when it opens? Comment “Interested” below and I’ll make sure you’re looped in as we release details. More to come. This one’s shaping up nicely. 🎶🍽️✨ [TRIP-BUILD | NOLA | INIT | DATE: 2026-01-08]
