Trial & Error Can Look Intentional
Been working on the enclosure design for my coffin delay pedal “Eternal Decay” and this was one of those moments where mistakes actually turned into something cool.
The first burn didn’t come out how I wanted…
so I ran it again.
And again.
And again.
Wrong settings and fixing alignment issues ended up with me literally burning over previous burns, which created this accidental shadow/ghosting effect around the text. But looking at it now, it almost feels intentional, like a worn, haunted aesthetic.
You can see the difference in the pictures:
  • One version has that layered “shadow” look from multiple passes
  • The final burn came out clean once I dialed in the settings
Perfect example of how trial and error is part of the process—sometimes the “mistake” actually give you ideas you wouldn’t have planned.
On the circuit side, I’ve also been tweaking my delay design. It’s getting really close—just a few final adjustments and it’ll be ready for a full sound test 👀🔊🎵🎶
But I’m curious:
👉 Would you keep the shadowed “imperfect” version for character?
👉 Or go with the clean, crisp final look?
🔥 Shadowed / imperfect
⚡ Clean / crisp
