What is it like being a musician? It's an incredibly frustrating, constant struggle with insecurity and fear of inadequacy.

It's being under appreciated and under paid. It's the hours of study and practice honing your skills to become the artist you know you will never be and knowing people have no understanding of what it takes to make it appear "natural".

It's people talking about their friend or cousin who is an amazing musician and never had a single lesson...who doesn't even practice!

It's knowing people feel entitled to what you do...not understanding that they are receiving a gift.

It's sore sore fingers. It's the fight to book gigs and the frustration of last-minute cancelations. It's loading up and loading out and everything you don't see.

But it's also that one moment when everything clicks...when you are lost in the music and everyone is sharing that vibe. It's the ultimate escape from everything that is wrong in the world
