You won’t be able to get through the swing clean.
What this drill does:
- Keeps you connected to your middle (trunk + pelvis)
- Forces rotation from the core, not the hands
- Builds awareness of how the body should deliver the barrel
It’s going to feel awkward at first. That’s the point.

Focus points:
- Rib cage down
- Turn from the middle
- Let the trunk move the barrel
- Stay connected through contact
