A Day Is ... As Good or Bad As You Intend It
Today started bright and early, my usual 5:30 am.
Then I usually head over to the office before anyone else because it's quiet and I have the whole place to myself to think.
I joined Skool for a couple reasons.
One was because I decided to take a chance that there are other people out there quietly stuck in grief, and desperately wanting to make a change. To get back to their happy inner fire and peace.
Let's face it, life's not a fun place if it's without joy.
If you love flowers, painting, singing, playing the guitar, if you're the owner of a sugar shack, a baker, if you love fishing, hiking, boating, biking...literally if you have something that lights you up even a little - do more of that.
For a long time, I just packed my paints away. Gave away my roses. Did my work at my office, went home, sometimes I ate, sometimes I didn't and then went to bed.
I went to the office because I forced me to get out of bed and out of my own stinking thinking.
I began to rekindle my joy of photography - by trying to capture the essence of moment in place and time.
And I want to help others going through elder family transitions have a much smoother go of it.
If you don't want to make the same mistakes I did, and if what I share helps you get your mo-jo back faster, that would mean the world to me.
So here is how my day unfolded:
7:30 am - Getting some things sorted out with a government office, and by 8 at it full swing until just before 5.
Even forgot to take a break for lunch.
Then it was back home and checking through calls and reminders and then working through a few hiccups on a deal, sorting it out and getting it done by 7pm.
In between I was chatting via DM with a Fb friend (Terri) who became my first Skool member 🥰
Then I began reviewing a few posts from other Skoolers, some lurking, just not committed yet.
I took some very valuable notes as I'm not exactly sure how the Skool games work (yet) and how our journeys through our mess by becoming more are supposed to go, but I promise to do my best by you.

Here are a few things I noticed about Skool:
1) I find I have to pace myself (set a schedule) because it's easy to get stuck in just learning and not doing and yikes - find your self discovering it's 3 am and you get up at 5:30
2) Skool is based on providing true value to you as a Skool Community owner, and
3) You grow by helping your members get a result they value.
Just a word for those of you exploring Skool - you get a free trial - you get a great education - and you get a chance to make a difference - and earn a living with the knowledge you already have in your head.
**************************
I then wrote a couple of posts, reviewed a few other Skoolers journeys and cheered some on and thanked others for taking the time to share some really valuable tips.
In about another half hour, I'll be in the process of heading off to listen to a Chapter of Alex's latest book while reading.
It's nearly 8pm, just enough time for a couple hours of focus 😉
Then, it's time to wind down, relax and drift off to sleep.
And a full one at that.
Can't believe that until recently the most I could sleep was 1-1/2 to 2-1/2 hours at a stretch before waking and then taking forever to fall back to sleep.
So, wish me well on my learnings tonight, I'll share what I discover as I put it together and I'll share a couple photos now and then of my favorite spots and moments in the valley and I'd love to hear from you.
How is your journey going?
What hobby or passion project are you working on?
What are you loving most about your life?
What is your biggest fear or challenge?
About life, about what your next chapter or grand adventure looks like?
I would love to know.
I don't know how, but somehow I am wanting to take a trip to Fiji.
Yeah, I know there's volcanos down there, but they're here too.
Anyhow - I want to thank you - for being you.
Thank you for reading.
Btw, I guess I have to get the "balls" to make a couple of videos like everyone keeps telling me. That too will happen.
And a shout-out to Terri for sharing a small part of your journey with me today (you got things cooking!).
Happy Trails this weekend everyone!
Ange
