Having golf clubs doesn't make you good at golf...
Lord knows that's the truth. Here is a reframe of this statement that might provoke you. - Having money doesn't make you good at managing it. How about this one? - Having children doesn't make you a good parent. Not feeling the pressure yet? - Going to church doesn't make you a Christian. You see, we have many applied assumptions about our ability to steward things based on the fact that we have them. But that's not how stewardship works. It's easy to see that going to church doesn't make you Christian. That takes faith! It's easy to see that having kids doesn't make you a good parent. That takes applied knowledge and work to raise your children in the way they should go. Here is the kicker... people hardly see that "making good money" or "being debt-free" DOES NOT make you a good manager of it. It just means you made a few choices that produced those results. Understand this... You are not the one who this will affect the most. Your children are... and their children are. That's why this community exists. We are committed to changing the narrative that money shouldn't be talked about in the home. We are committed to lowering the statistics that say that money is one of the leading factors of marriages ending in divorce. If you are reading this... You happen to be a part of this movement in its early stages. Don't keep this to yourself. Help yourself by helping us be a part of the change. Let me know your feedback in the comments, and I will provide you with a link that you can send out to other families that need this. More to come!

Welcome to the OINK Family Inner Circle (READ THIS FIRST)
Welcome to the family. This is a community for parents who want to build a lasting legacy, steward their resources faithfully, and raise kids who understand the value of a dollar and the purpose behind it. Before you dive in, please take a minute to read this entire post. THE RULES • Be Respectful: This is a family community. Treat everyone here with the same grace and respect you'd want shown to your own family. • Stay On-Topic: Keep discussions focused on family finances, stewardship, kids and money, marriage and money, and faith-based financial principles. • No Financial Advice: We are educators, not financial advisors. Sharing experiences is great, but do not give prescriptive financial advice. (See our terms below). • No Self-Promotion: This is a place to learn and grow, not a marketplace. Do not pitch your business, services, or products. • No Unsolicited DMs: Do not direct message other members to sell, recruit, or pitch. We protect our members' peace. • Respect Privacy: What is shared here stays here. Families are sharing vulnerable financial realities; honor that trust by keeping it confidential. • Be Constructive: Encourage one another. If you disagree, do so respectfully and constructively. We are here to build each other up. • No Political Debates: Faith is central to who we are and is always welcome. Politics is not. Leave the political debates at the door. • Keep it Family-Friendly: Assume kids might be reading over a parent's shoulder. Keep language and topics appropriate for all ages. • Have Fun: This should feel like walking into a family's living room, not sitting in a sterile classroom. Enjoy the journey. TERMS OF PARTICIPATION By being a member of this community, you agree to the following: • You must be years or older to participate. • All content provided here is strictly educational and does not constitute financial, legal, or tax advice. • Always consult with licensed professionals before making significant financial decisions. • You assume full responsibility for your own financial decisions and outcomes.

Producer vs. Consumer — Which One Is Your Family?
Here's the uncomfortable truth: most families are running a consumption machine disguised as a household. Money comes in, money goes out, and at the end of the month there's nothing to show for it. That's not a family — that's a drain. Consumers ask: "What can I buy with this?" Producers ask: "What can I build with this?" Consumers work to fund a lifestyle. Producers work to fund a mission and impact. Consumers raise kids who expect. Producers raise kids who create. Consumers spend first and save what's left. Producers deploy first and live on the rest. This isn't about income level. There are high-earners who are pure consumers and modest-earners who are building generational legacies. The difference is intentionality. So here's the question: If your kids grew up and handled money exactly the way you do right now — would they be producers or consumers? If that makes you uncomfortable, good. That's where the shift starts. Go be producers this week!
Have you introduced yourself yet?
Don’t forget! If you’re new to the community, introduce yourself and what you hope to find in the community! Life is better together. Let’s go.
