What I did to help me lose 5 lbs in about 4 weeks
Over a month ago I recommitted to my health and decided that NOW is the best time to go all in on a health goal I've been short on working towards The goal by the end of this year is to go from 170 lbs to 150 lbs while building a lean/muscular physique (if I can get a visible 6 pack too that would be the cherry on top) Reflecting on where I'm at, I realized how truly simple working towards progress was. I was lacking these two things: 1) a vivid goal that I can imagine myself living in 2) simple systems that worked WITH my lifestyle, not against it And I'm going to break each of these down so you can do the same for yourself. A VIVID GOAL - it's plenty challenging to stick to working towards our goals if we don't truly desire it One of the best ways to not only desire it, but imagine it as a real future for ourselves is to get CRYSTAL CLEAR on what the outcome is. What does future me look like? How does future me feel? Who's congratulating me for my work? What do I get to do because I worked hard for this goal? ^^It's these types of questions that challenge us to dream bigger. SIMPLE SYSTEMS - the simple formula to reaching our goals is "NEEDLE MOVER + CONSISTENCY" What are the simple yet doable actions that help me inch towards my goals with least resistance? What is something I can do that I enjoy? Will doing this allow me to do this till I reach my goal? Will this action keep me in shape for the rest of my life? Here are the simple needlemovers that I implement each day and week to help me get to my goals: - Hit my cutting calorie window - Hit my protein goal - Hit my gym standards - Hit my daily 10k step goal - If I want to eat something I love, I will do it and fit it into my macros - I will weigh myself every day and track the trends This is all so simple - and I wish I took time to learn that earlier. I now share this wisdom with you, and I will continue to share the progress in the future. This community is all about building your best life.

How I leveraged my nursing experience to land my first non-nursing role
Back in 2023 I was exploring different ways to build up an income online - appointment setting was the opportunity that caught my eye at the time. For those not familiar with the online business space, an Appointment Setter is someone who messages people on behalf of a business to see if people are a good fit for a certain product or service. The setter would book a person on a sales person's calendar to potentially buy their product. If the person buys, the sales person gets commission AND the setter. If an online program was $5000, and a setter made 5% commision. That means every person they set that buys gives the setter a $250 commission. Just imagine sending over a couple messages to a person and make almost a nurse's daily wage So you can imagine why this caught my attention. Keep in mind at the time my only experience was nursing. Passing meds. Inserting IVs. Foley catheter management. All that beautiful stuff. On paper I'm the least qualified person for the job. Of course I'm going to increase my chances of getting hired - so I looked deeper into what a setter actually does and what skills the top setters had that made them successful. I learned that top setters had these traits: well organized, top notch communication skills, empathy, amazing at relationship building, and tough skin that can handle rejection well Bells went off in my head - WAIT A MINUTE, I DO EXACTLY THIS AS A NURSE I went into my interview, it was a group interview keep in mind. I was going up against people in different fields and some sales experience. I was able to leverage my experience, and showcase my personality in such way that SHOWED my future manager I was the right person for their team - and I got a job offer that next week To sum it up, do the following to help you leverage your own experience to land nearly any job you desire: 1) Learn more about the role and what separates average talent vs top 10% talent 2) Take what you do regularly in your job and reposition it so that it reveals that you have the needed experience and skills
