RECEIVE FROM OVERFLOW
RECEIVERSHIP = NERVOUS SYSTEM CAPACITY When something comes into your life, especially something you’ve been wanting or even praying for… it creates energetic movement. For example, more money can mean more responsibility, more visibility can mean more eyes on you, and receiving more support can mean being seen in ways you’re not used to. Even if this is what you prayed for or deeply desire, it’s still new. And something new to the subconscious and nervous system means potential risk until proven otherwise, and there’s actual biology behind this. Your nervous system is constantly scanning your environment through something called neuroception (this happens below conscious awareness). It’s always scanning for what is familiar. So when your nervous system doesn’t feel fully safe receiving something, it typically moves into one of three patterns, and this is where behavior starts to make a lot more sense. Pattern number one is the fight / flight response. This is when your system speeds up and you find yourself doing more, thinking more,or trying to control more. But here’s the catch, when you’re in this state, you’re not actually receiving. Some of the behaviors look like- - overworking - Overthinking - trying to “lock in” results - feeling like you can’t relax - “I’ll just do it myself” Pattern number two is the nervous system freeze response. This is the opposite of the first response and this is where your nervous system pulls back. If it feels like you are under too much pressure or overwhelm the body will pump the brakes into freeze. Some of the behaviors of this can look like- ●not responding ●avoiding things you care about ●feeling disconnected or numb ●procrastinating without knowing why ●losing clarity Pattern number three is the fawn nervous system response and this one is a little more subtle. This is where you’re technically receiving, but only in a way that keeps you safe and liked. Some of the behaviors of this can look like- ●focusing on everyone else

How your nervous system state impacts your health. What nervous system state do you feel you operate in most - comment below 1, 2, 3. 1 - Sympathetic Nervous System - fight / flight - Anxiety, Anger, Perfection, Hyper-vigilence The sympathetic nervous system (SNS) is a branch of the autonomic nervous system that triggers the response, preparing the body for action, stress, or danger. It increases heart rate, dilates pupils, relaxes airways, and redirects blood to muscles, often acting in opposition to the parasympathetic to maintain balance. Key Aspects of the Sympathetic Nervous System: - Function: It governs involuntary reactions to stress, such as increasing cardiac output, boosting blood glucose for energy, and stimulating sweat production to cool the body. - Fight-or-Flight Mechanism: When danger is perceived, the SNS acts swiftly to prioritize survival, such as releasing adrenaline from the adrenal glands, slowing digestion to conserve energy, and slowing down non-essential functions. - Health Impact: Chronic activation of this system due to constant stress can lead to health problems, including high blood pressure and, in some cases, sustained rapid heart rate. 2 - Dorsal Vagal Shutdown or Hypoarousal - Overwhelm, fatigue, exhaustion, The freeze state is an involuntary nervous system response to overwhelming stress or trauma, acting as a survival mechanism when fight-or-flight fails. It triggers immobility, numbness, and exhaustion to conserve energy, often manifesting as "functional freeze," where an individual seems productive externally but feels detached, numb, or chronically anxious internally
