Gel Ombré #1
Here is a quick gel ombré tutorial to help you get started 🫶 I am planning on doing a full series of this and adding it to the classroom, but unfortunately a few things have come up that I need to sort out first. I didn’t want to leave you hanging though, so here is a quick first demonstration. Trust me. Do it. It sounds like a hassle because of all the things you need, I put off doing it for years before I actually tried it for the first time and it changed my life 😂. Ombre’s are a lot faster, and better blended for me now because of this. I will be making more parts, using other tools, making the blend richer, and blending multiple colours 🫶

🌍 Help us build the world's most useful "How to Operate Legally" resource for nail techs.
One of the biggest challenges for new nail techs is figuring out how to actually start their business legally. The problem is... every country (sometimes every council/state!) has different rules. Some require a licence and some require specific qualifications. Some require business registration, insurance, council approvals, tax registration... and some require very little at all. Instead of trying to piece everything together from random Google searches, I'd love for us to build one place where nail techs can find the information they need 🫶 HERE'S THE IDEA: We'll create a new Classroom course called How to Operate Legally, with a separate module for every country. Each module would include either: - A short PDF, or - A quick video ...created by a nail tech who actually lives and works there. You'd simply explain things like: - What qualifications (if any) are required. - Whether you need a licence or permit. - How to register your business. - Tax requirements. - Insurance recommendations or requirements. - Any other important legal information someone should know before taking clients. If we can get contributors from enough countries, we'll end up with an incredible resource that helps nail techs all over the world start their businesses with confidence! 🌻 If you'd like to create the module for your country, comment below with your country (or send me a message). Let's see how many regions we can cover. ❤️
New Series
Hey everyone! 👋 I'm starting a little Question of the Week series over on my Oasis page, and I'd love to bring it into this community too. With so many people here who are new to the industry (or even experienced techs wanting a refresher), I'd love to know: what questions are you dying to have answered? I absolutely love nail health and safety, and lately I've been doing a deep dive into nail anatomy, so I'd especially love questions around things like: • Consultations • Nail anatomy • Nail health & safety • Natural nail care • Client education • Or honestly, anything you're unsure about! I'll be answering these over the coming months both on my business page and here in the community, with the possibility of open discussions here. No question is too basic—if you've been wondering about something, chances are someone else has too. Pop your questions below! 💚

Builder Gel Application - Medium Almond Fill
Okay, I just want to preface this by saying I will get better with voiceovers as I do more of them, so please just bare with me 😂 I get focused on the time moving and it distracts me from explaining what I’m trying to explain 🥴 ANYWAY! Here is how I do a builder gel fill on a medium almond nail. Please note that because it’s a fill, and there’s still a layer of builder gel from the previous set, I don’t add “more” gel to the apex near the free-edge area. If you have a question or comment, please drop it in the comments - I’d love to talk about it 🫶

First "Legal Operation" country!
Hey everyone! I've just created the first How to Operate Legally module for New Zealand nail techs 🇳🇿 Anyone and everyone is welcome to check it out, I find it fun to learn as much as I can about how the industry works all around the world (hence me creating this community 😆) There are some other members who are working on more modules for other countries and states. I'll also start working on some more to bridge the gaps 🫶 If you want to create a module for your country, let me know, and I can help you work on it if you'd like 😁 Have a great weekend x
