EDIT***Ways to target my clientele/avatar?
13/09/2026 I think I may have worded my original post badly, because I’m actually not looking for help defining my ideal client. I feel pretty confident about who I’m trying to attract. 😊 What I’m really looking for is fun, creative ways to actually get in front of those people and turn them into bookings. For a bit of context, I only opened Bare Beauty in mid-June with zero existing clientele, and I’ve grown the Instagram to around 670 followers organically since then. So I’m not really struggling with growing the audience itself. I’m wanting to get better at attracting the right people from that audience and making them want to actually book. I’m currently reworking the Bare Beauty brand around a “low-maintenance beauty with an edge” vibe. Think a little tattoo studio, a little beauty bar. Cool, relaxed, slightly alternative, but definitely not limited to alternative clients. My ideal client could be heavily tattooed and love something weird and wonderful, or she could be a busy mum who wears neutrals and just wants really fucking good nails. The common thread is personality, individuality, quality and wanting a beauty experience that feels like them. So now I’m looking for the marketing/content ideas that will make that person stop scrolling and think: “Wait… I like this place.” I’m thinking things like: • Fun/quirky Reels or social posts that fit the brand. • Content that shows the personality of the salon rather than just finished nails. • Creative campaigns or recurring social series. • Ways to make people want to follow Bare Beauty before they’re ready to book. • Collaborations or local ideas that would put the brand in front of the right people. I haven’t posted on local community pages or anything like that yet and assume that’d bring in people too as I know others have grown by posting to pages on fb. • Fun ways to encourage bookings without constantly screaming “APPOINTMENTS AVAILABLE”. Basically anything organic that makes the right person feel like “these are my people.”

Win-Win: Growing the Community and Your Account 💛
Hi everyone! ✨ Just a quick but important update (especially for those of you creating content for the group): I’ve set up a dedicated Instagram account for The Nail Tech Corner 👉 @thenailtechcorner. The goal of this account is twofold: 1. To grow its own presence as a discoverable, standalone platform. 2. To support you by driving more attention and traffic back to your personal/business pages. 💡 How you can make the most of it - Use your own Instagram to talk about the group! This could be through reels, posts, or stories where you: Share a tip or piece of content you’ve created for the group, and/or mention that people can get access by joining through your invite link. - You can put your link in your bio for easy access, or DM it directly to anyone who comments on your posts (this also doubles as a great engagement booster for you). 🤝 Collaboration option If you want, you can tag @thenailtechcorner as a collaborator on your posts. That way, your content will automatically publish onto this account as well. I’ll also be actively building its audience, so your posts will gain extra reach from both sides. The big picture here is to create a flow where: 1. The Nail Tech Corner Instagram grows as its own page. 2. Your content gets more visibility from being featured on it. 3. New members join the group through your links, giving you credit (and commission) for the growth. I really want this to be a win-win - for the community, for the account, and for you individually as contributors. 🌻
Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) 👤
Something that will almost change your life (or at least your business): Deciding who your services and business are for! I want to help as many of you as I can with growing your businesses, so let's go riiiiight to the very beginning - in the most simplified way possible. In the comments, answer just this one question (really think about your answer): Describe your dream client in one paragragh. How old are they? Do they work? Are they studying? Do they have kids? What type of music do they listen to? Go into as much detail as possible, but be so specific that it sounds like only one person. I'll then DM you each individually and we can get started with your own individualised plan to grow your business x
Edited content
Hello! I'm reaching out to ask how everyone edits their content. I currently use canva, I pay $20 a month and then edit using the tiktok function for trending sounds and effects. Do you have a preferred method? And is it expensive?
