Imām al-Awzāʿī رحمه الله said:

I met people who used to save their needs until the Day of ʿArafah, so they could ask Allāh for them on that day.

And one of them used to say: 'For fifty years I have been making duʿāʾ on the Day of ʿArafah, and never has a year passed without me seeing my duʿāʾs answered as clearly as the break of dawn.'
