Amazon Optimization
Amazon is not really a “set it and forget it” platform anymore.
Especially now with AI changing the game so fast.
You have to keep optimizing your images, ads, keywords, pricing, sales, and conversion.
You can actually see that story in this screenshot from my own journal business.
Sales started slumping. Hard. 🥲
At first, I focused heavily on ad optimization and trimming things down efficiently.
Then I realized something important:
My listing itself needed fresh energy too.
So I started using AI tools to completely redo my listing images. It’s still a work in progress.
First arrow: sales started picking back up. 🙏🏻
But I didn’t stop there.
I layered strategies:
• brought back a few older ads that had performed well in the past
• refreshed the images
• ran a sale at the same time! This was key!
Second arrow: sales velocity came back stronger. 🎉
Sales velocity matters on Amazon.
Because Amazon wants to show products that are actively selling.
Momentum matters.
Conversion matters.
Velocity matters.
A lot!
A listing can quietly fade if we stop improving it.
The interesting part is this:
AI is making it easier and faster to test new ideas instead of sitting stuck wondering what to change next. It’s time to jump on board!
Now I’m treating my Amazon listing much more like an active system instead of a passive storefront. 🎁
