Dear Sybil,
Lately you’ve been forgetting things.
Losing words mid-sentence.
Walking into a room and pausing.
Making small mistakes that make you stop and wonder what’s going on.
And it’s easy to look at that through a harsh lens and think something is wrong with you.
But what if that lens isn’t accurate?
What if this is a shift… hormones changing, yes, and also a brain that has been holding a lot for a long time without enough space to recover.
You’ve already been trying to adjust.
So maybe this is about going further, taking your own advice to keep going.
Double check your calendar times.
Write more down each day, by hand.
Make journaling and meditation a daily practice, not something you get to when there’s time.
This is how you support yourself in this season.
You don’t need to push harder.
You need to work in a way your brain can trust and keep going!
With you in it,
Sybil
