Long before people explained their inner lives through psychology, they used colour, image, symbol, movement, sound, and form.
Sometimes an experience is difficult to put into ordinary language.
A sensation may become a colour.
An emotion may become a shape.
A movement may become a line.
An inner image may become a drawing, mandala, symbol, or a few words.
Creative Expression allows the experience to continue after the movement has ended.
It is not about being artistic or creating something beautiful. You do not need to understand or interpret what appears.
In Move Your Chakras, we use Creative Expression because not everything moving within us has words. Drawing, writing, colour, sound, or form can offer another way of listening.
Sometimes the expression reveals something new.
Sometimes it simply gives the experience somewhere to rest.
✨ The purpose is not to make art. It is to give what is moving within you another way to be seen, felt, and expressed.
✨ You can explore the longer introduction to Creative Expression inside Foundations — How We Explore the Chakras. I’d love to hear:
Which form of creative expression feels most natural to you — colour, drawing, writing, movement, sound, or something else?
