My sweet dog Apollo died at 11 years and 2 months old. He was taking a nap in the bedroom and never woke up. We are thankful he lived a good full life and did not die alone or in pain.
He was a purebred Old English Bulldogge and such a chill dog. He was cooperative for his baths and vet visits. He took his required meds without challenging us and he was very sweet with people, our rescue cat, and other animals in general.
My brother got him at 8 weeks old from the breeder. But when he was 3 years old my brother decided to move to Florida and knew he would be miserable in the heat and humidity. He loved the cold and playing in the snow.
So we had him transported across the country from DC and he arrived on the 50th anniversary of the Apollo mission. We thought that was a good omen and a sign that it was meant to be.
My husband and I spoiled him and our rescue pets everyday. So I know he is going to heaven with a full belly and knowing he was well-loved. We will miss him so very much.
