I’m on the hunt for a new gold claim for 2026 here in BC, and I hope you all come with me on this journey through the Rocky Mountains. I moved away from the old AI look and wanted something that feels more real—more like what this community is actually about: getting outside, learning together, finding crystals and minerals, sharing knowledge, and building friendships around a common passion. This feels more authentic to me. Prospecting isn’t just about what you find in the ground—it’s about the people you meet, the stories from the field, campfire conversations, and respect for the land. Crazy spring weather today. I was hoping to make plans for some rock and mineral exploring, but not today. We got wild wind, snow, rain — a little bit of everything. Anyone else getting weather like this where you are?

Today is a reminder that prospecting isn’t just about what we find — it’s about respecting where we find it. Every crystal, mineral, creek bed, mountain trail, and piece of float tells a story written by the Earth over millions of years. We’re lucky to walk these places. One thing I believe deeply: leave the land better than you found it. Pack out garbage. Keep creeks clean. Respect wildlife. Fill your holes. Protect old growth, water, and the quiet places. When I head into the bush, I try to give back — even if it’s bringing out a load of junk, cleaning a trail, or simply stopping to say thank you for the gift of the day. That’s real prospecting to me. Earth gives us beauty, adventure, lessons, and sometimes treasures hidden in stone. The least we can do is return that respect. 🌿 Earth Day Challenge: Next time you’re out rockhounding or exploring, bring back more than minerals — bring back one bag of trash.
