Party poster silluettes
I've been asked to come up with some silluettes for the Electro dance party posters for tomorrow night. These were some of the ideas, and Jemyl is going to add the words. 'We've been waiting for this party for 100 years. So now this decades come around We can party in the Electro 20s again! Everybody is already looking forward to it. And some of the guys are already wearing their trilby's, as sun hats around the pool. It's quite surreal. Music already compiled and set. The group were rehersing downstairs earlier, and they are even going to use some of the music ive compiled as backing tracks for their performance. The silluettes will be placed, with the words on colourfull blue red and green smoky backgrounds, and I may add some sound bars at the bottom.

WHOS THAT MAN
Just having a bit of fun painting. originaly I painted the suit green, but wasnt sure of the colour, so did it again in dark grey. I found this quite amusing, but its probably just me. Im presently thinking about one or two paintings with yellow welly boots and umbrellas. why? simply because I dont usually like yellow, so why not paintg an amusing painting in yellow. I know. Ihave an odd sense of humour.

Figuring it out
Happy Sunday! I’m working on a large piece currently. You get to see an early stage where I’m figuring out composition and whether to use these beautiful eco printed fabric shapes I created. It was going to be a garden, but now I’m seeing a sea bed?!?!? 🐟 🐟 🐠 Any thoughts?

Fun preparation and beginnings
Happy Easter again lovely arty people. I’ve enjoyed doing some preparation of my first layers of some big canvases and some smaller wooden boards. I’m starting a new series. I tried a couple of different techniques using seeds and flower petals to create textures. I will remove the seeds and petals once they’re dry. (I ruined one experiment I did on newspaper by removing the seeds too soon and so the paint bled and caused a mess!) I’ve left them outside in the garden to dry. I shall put some more layers once dry, probably tomorrow. I’m still going backwards and forwards deciding on the theme for this series. I was thinking about a different type of garden/er for each one. I’ve also decided to use some collage pieces from the eco-printed fabric I created back along with. I love this stage where there’s so many options on how to proceed. I just start anyway even if I don’t fully know where I’m going with it. Very often once I start I get a feel for what’s needed and I go with the feeling. Loving my creative life!

New work-new materials
I have been working with alot of metal, copper, and burlap, trying to integrate them into various pieces. This is an 8x8 piece on cradled wood, "Never Give Up", that sold yesterday. I honestly don't create art for any real financial gain, and, price most of what I do below the time and materials actually in a piece. Art making sustains me, and, it is truly a privilege and an honor to be an artist whose work, and message resonates with others. I am a firm believer in, and, an active messenger of the healing power of art!
