I'm considering taking my art to the next level.
I don't know what you all think.
Let me explain, I was at my brothers wedding last weekend, and I was impressed with the table designs. These also included light up bottles with designs mimicking the place settings etc.
I spoke with my new sister in laws sister, who had done all the decorations. Quite a talented artist. I asked how she did it, and she explained that she drew and produced all the artwork freehand, and then photographed and uploaded it to a CRICUT, machine. Where she printed and cut it out, using various materials, which she attached to the objects such as bottles vases etc. And cards etc for place settings with her artwork were printed straight out.
I was really impressed especially with the light up bottles, with her intricate designs, and silluetts. Very effective.
So I'm presently researching, and considering getting one of these, to use with my own artwork.
Very early stages yet, but I'm looking into it. She has also invited me up to Essex at some point, to watch her and get some hands on experience. And hopefully teach me how I could use it for my own work.
I hadn't heard of Cricut machines before. So I find it fascinating.
I don't know if any of you have had any experience with them, and what you think?
🙂
