Ministry asks a lot of you. Whether you lead a congregation, build an online community, create content for people you may never meet, or serve quietly behind the scenes, you are usually the one others turn to in their hardest moments.

You carry the weight of the people you serve, often while carrying your own. More than 76% of clergy say someone has come to them for help with mental health, and that pressure shows up in every kind of ministry.

What gets talked about less is how lonely the work can be, whether in a sanctuary or behind a screen.

Among pastors who have considered stepping away, 43% name loneliness and isolation as a reason.
