Mini exercise: Are you a student or a speaker?
Yesterday we talked about why more grammar rarely fixes the plateau. Here's a 2-minute exercise to find out which part of you actually needs the work. Step 1: Think of the last time you spoke English and felt nervous or "not good enough." Step 2: Ask yourself — in that moment, was I relating to English as: a) A subject I'm being tested on, or b) A tool I'm using to say something I actually mean? Step 3: Write down the sentence that was running in your head right before you spoke. Something like "I hope I don't mess up the tenses" or "I hope this makes sense." Step 4: Now flip it. Rewrite that sentence as something a confident communicator — not a student — would think instead. Drop your before/after in the comments 👇 — I read every one, and I promise you're not the only one whose "before" sentence is brutal.

Mini Exercise: Build Your English Personality
Most people collect vocabulary. Very few people collect personality. Today, choose one English phrase that reflects who you want to be when you speak English. Pick one category: 💛 Warmth – a phrase that makes people feel comfortable 😎Confidence– a phrase that sounds calm and self-assured 😂Humour– a phrase that makes conversations lighter 🤝Kindness– a phrase that shows care and consideration Examples: - Warmth: “It’s lovely to see you.” - Confidence: “I’m happy to share my thoughts.” - Humour: “Well, that didn’t go quite as planned!” - Kindness: “Take your time, there’s no rush.” Your challenge: 1. Choose one phrase. 2. Write it in the comments. 3. Tell us why it feels like you. Remember: learning English isn’t only about sounding correct. It’s also about deciding who you want to be when you speak it. 🌱
