This is what my nervous system is chanting, three more hours on a plane, one in a car, make sure the power and plumbing is on for our first night in our new house, blow up an air mattress and then it's dorsal for me.
Contrary to popular belief, ventral is not our goal. A flexible nervous system that moves in and between states is the safest way to go on this ever changing ever challenging planet!
One of my fav dorsal activities is (other than Skool) watching polygamy reality shows , I think it reminds me of my super conservative childhood in a weirdly validating way....a little zoned out dorsal distraction time is a great distress tolerance skill in short doses.
