Excuses vs Ownership
One of the biggest differences between people who grow and people who stay stuck is this:
One group makes excuses.
The other takes ownership.
Excuses sound like:
“I’ve been busy.”
“I’ll start next week.”
“I just haven’t been motivated.”
“Things have been crazy lately.”
Ownership sounds like:
“I let it slip.”
“I didn’t follow through.”
“I need to be better here.”
“I’m fixing it today.”
Ownership is uncomfortable.
But it’s also powerful.
Because the moment you stop explaining why you didn’t do something…
you finally have the ability to change it.
So midweek check:
Where do you catch yourself making excuses the most?
Training
Nutrition
Sleep
Mindset
Routine
And where do you need to take more ownership?
