One of the biggest nutrition myths that refuses to die is that carbs are the problem.
The truth is:
Carbs are not the enemy.
Your body actually prefers carbohydrates as a fuel source for many activities.
Walking.
Running.
Lifting.
Sports.
Daily life.
The problem is usually not carbohydrates.
The problem is often:
- eating too much overall
- highly processed foods
- lack of protein
- lack of consistency
A potato didn’t make anyone overweight.
An apple didn’t make anyone unhealthy.
Rice isn’t ruining your progress.
Nutrition gets a lot easier when we stop labeling foods as “good” and “bad” and start looking at the bigger picture.
So let’s start the week with this:
What carb source do you enjoy that people often unfairly label as unhealthy?
Rice?
Potatoes?
Fruit?
Oatmeal?
Bread?
