First time attempt Failed
Hi guys, I'm sharing my experience with my recent exam, which focused on blood banking and microbiology. The questions weren't necessarily difficult, but I struggled with understanding the English language, as it's not my first language. The answers were often very similar, which threw me off. When I was studying for 3 months, I found the process really challenging. I'd translate each question, recall the concept, apply it, and then translate the options to check my answer. It was a lot to handle, and I got frustrated at times. Now, I feel like not trying again since not only it could be a loss of money and I'm unsure whether to start studying again immediately or take a break to let my frustration settle. On one hand, I worry that delaying my studies will cause me to forget the little I know, which could put me at a disadvantage. On the other hand, diving back in without addressing my weaknesses and frustrations might not be the most effective approach. I don't know what to do!!!??? One thing I know for sure is that next time I am studying, I will study with Marilyn every Sunday. I feel like I reallyneed to study with somebody else.
First time attempt Failed
Here we go!
Just started my clinicals and taking the AMT and AAB in 4 months. Let the studying begin. I purchased lab CE, I have the boc, and purple and gold review book. I still don't really know where to start. On a whim I decided to take a mock exam and didn't do so great because I've forgotten everything I've learned 10 months ago. Panic is setting in. Help 😬
Research
Hi fam? I am an MLS student. I'll be doing my mini thesis topic research in two months time. I'd love to do something related to chemistry 🥹 Any idea? Inputs? Opinions?
First Attempt MLT ASCP
Hi all, I took my boards yesterday and FAILED! I kind of had a suspicion that I would and once I started seeing the questions I began having doubts. The way school trains us and the sites we use to practice are way more in depth then the actual exam. I don’t have my score yet, so curious to see my weak spots. I’m just still very confused at how complex all of our practice questions and exams are vs. the real deal. Unless, I never got passed easy questions. It felt more like a definitions exam or terminology rather than analytics. Anyway, I’ll take it again but I’m not stressed anymore about it. Any thoughts or input would be greatly appreciated.
