Come With An Ask
Most people waste the room and don't even know they're doing it.
They show up, give a little update, "things are good, busy month, closed a couple deals"... and then they listen politely while everybody else does the same. Everyone leaves feeling fine. Nobody leaves changed.
That's not a mastermind.
That's a status meeting.
After 26 years, here's the thing I wish every new member understood on day one. The room is only as useful as the question you bring it.
A vague update gets you vague nodding.
A real ask gets you a real answer.
"Should I raise my prices or not, here are my numbers, here's what I'm scared of"... that's an ask. The room can grab that and actually do something with it.
"Business is good" gives them nothing to work with. You handed them air, so air is what comes back.
The members who get the most out of a room are not the most successful ones. They're the ones who walk in every week with one sharp, specific thing they're genuinely stuck on, and put it on the table before anyone has to pull it out of them.
That takes a little guts, because a real ask means admitting you don't have it all figured out. But that's the whole point.
You're not there to perform.
You're there to get unstuck.
So before your next session, don't prepare an update. Prepare an ask. One real decision, one real problem, one thing you'd actually pay to have 20 sharp people pressure-test.
That's how you turn an hour of talking into a year of saved time.
If you want to be in a room where people bring real asks instead of highlight reels, come take a look: https://www.skool.com/mastermind-skool-4781/about
So tell me... if you walked into a room of sharp people this week, what's the ONE question you'd put on the table?
And why haven't you asked it out loud yet?
