Production: Xpand!2, MIDI, and half-time
Production question:
A tune I'm working on is set at 186 bpm, and all of the drum loops I've auditioned are too busy.
Option A: Boom and ADSR allow you to reset the speed of the loop ( X1/2, X2, etc.) before inserting/recording. Does Xpand!2 have a setting for this?
Option B is to set the metronome to 93 (probably should have been set here in the first place), but that slows all other MIDI tracks. Originally, it was going to have a driving beat with kicks at 186 but I want to give more space to the groove. I think the 93bpm is more appropriate. Is there a way to change a MIDI track to keep it's speed if you halve the bpm?
Hope my questions make sense!
